Meet the Garden Grove Team Behind Vance Gate Repair Garden Grove
When you call Vance Gate Repair Garden Grove, the person who shows up is someone we can name before the truck rolls. Since 2014, Adrian Vance has built the crew the same way he builds a gate: square, plumb, and with no hidden parts. The Garden Grove team handles everything from a sagging driveway swing gate in West Grove to a failed access-control keypad at a light-commercial lot off Harbor Boulevard. Each tech is background-checked, uniformed, and dispatched with their name and photo sent before arrival. What binds the crew isn’t a slogan. It’s the written price handed over before any work starts, the photo log left when the job closes, and the 365-Day Done Right Promise standing behind every repair.
Our People
Adrian Vance, Owner and Field Lead
Adrian founded Vance Gate Repair in 2014 after spending his early years wiring access-control systems on commercial job sites, where a missing wiring diagram meant a callback nobody wanted. That habit never left him. He still rides out on jobs most weeks, and when he quotes a gate, he gives you the problem, the part, and the price in that order. You’ll often hear him note that a gate has been “repaired” before in ways that explain a lot about why he’s standing there now. Outside of gates, Adrian restores vintage tube radios, which he says teaches patience for troubleshooting intermittent limit switches. If your gate has an electrical gremlin, he will find it.
Marcus T., Senior Installer
Marcus has been with Vance since 2017 and has personally installed more than 400 gates across Garden Grove, Stanton, and Westminster. He’s the one we send when a new cantilever sliding gate needs to be set on a rail with no more than an eighth-inch of deviation across a twenty-foot run. Marcus holds his welding certifications in MIG and stick, and he’s the crew’s go-to for rebuilding rusted gate frames that other companies would rather replace. His specialty is silent, square steel work that looks like it grew there. He keeps a notebook of every gate he’s built, with the exact hinge spacing and post depth written down, and he can tell you why a gate on Lampson Avenue needs a different post footer than one in the Los Alamitos drainage basin.
Elena R., Service Coordinator and Access Control Tech
Elena runs the Garden Grove dispatch board and answers the phone live at midnight the same way she does at noon, because our scheduler never touches a voicemail loop. She came to Vance in 2019 from a telecom background and retrained on gate access control, which turns out to be closer than you’d think: both are about getting signals where they belong. Elena handles the programming side of telephone-entry and keypad systems, and she’s the one who names the technician and sends the photo before arrival. Her pet project is keeping the fleet stocked so a Gatecrafters hinge or a LiftMaster control board is on the truck when the crew needs it, not ordered after the diagnosis. When you call with a gate that won’t open and you need a time window, Elena is the voice on the other end.
Danny V., Apprentice Technician
Danny joined Vance in 2022 after two years at a local fabrication shop, where he learned to cut and weld steel before he ever touched a gate motor. He’s working his way through the full nine automation brands we service, currently partnered with Marcus on installs and with Adrian on control wiring. Danny records the photo documentation on the jobs he rides, which means he has seen, up close, several thousand before-and-after shots of limit switches, photo-eyes, and worn chain drives. He enjoys the diagnostic side best: figuring out why a gate that worked fine for eight years suddenly reversed at the halfway point. Danny received a bachelor’s degree from Cal State Fullerton in 2019, a fact he mentions when the crew gives him grief about his truck radio.
One Standard, Every Job

The team runs on The Haven Standard, and it’s not a poster on a breakroom wall. Clause 1 says the price is written before any work starts, which is why nobody on this crew has ever handed a homeowner a surprise invoice. Clause 4 says every visit includes a documented photo record: what was found, what was adjusted, what was replaced, left with you and filed in our job record. And when the work is done, the 365-Day Done Right Promise applies to every bolt turned, so if something isn’t right within a year, we come back and make it so, no fee and no argument. That standard is the same on every gate we touch in Garden Grove, and the people above are the ones who keep it.
